The School for Talented Ones | Chapter 2

Chapter 2 – Raven

1 hour before that…

“Gather here my minions. Come to your master.” Raven boomed, waving his dark hands across the room scattering the darkness and the black ravens and crows that perched on the abandoned homes in the Dark Cave.

“Yes master,” His minions said, there bulbus skulls on their heads glowing with darkness. They had a red checkered shorts and a strap of torn leather that spread across their shoulders, hugging them. “What are your commands?” They chanted in unison.

“Ask your general, and please don’t disturb me. I have some spying to do.” He waved his hands and the ravens and crows made a curtain of black.

“Minions,” Boomed Natasha, who was the general,”Attack them.” They marched out of the Dark Cave.

“What’s happening??” The class started to ask. This usually didn’t happen. That could only mean one thing. Raven. Tommy had to tell him about his dream. After he blurted it all out, he saw that an army was approaching the school. Their coming. Mr. Churchill, the teacher of D.A.D.A, quickly arranged the D.A in the defensive positions. Albert quickly surrounded the school with vines and trees while Kate started to call her furry friends. The D.A stood on the roof of the school in a circle with Mr. Churchill in the middle. He closed his eyes and a huge shield surrounded the whole school.

“We have to defend the school.” Phil shouted over the commotion. He gestured their 6th Grader classmates to the auditorium.

“Their coming from above,” Replied Tommy, his fingers still on his temple.”Get Austin to block the roof.” Phil nodded. Then came a deafening crash. CRASH!! “I can’t see them, my power won’t work.” So does Austin’s, and everyone else’ except for the D.A. “It must be Mr. Churchill’s shield,” Tommy told Phil. “Tell everyone to take cover and hide.” He nodded once more, gesturing to the students. Tommy quickly ran outside. He had to get in that shield. As he tried to blast himself to the roof, a chuck of rock dived from the sky, smashing into pieces. “I have to climb the vines,” He thought while scanning the area for footholds. The vines were a sea of jade green turning to a purple. The wind blew furiously as a he climbed. Finally, he reached the top, startling the D.A.

“What are you doing up here?” Mr. Churchill asked, his hands still in the air.

“I’m here to help. I just need to get into that forcefield of your’s.” He shouted against the wind and approached the blue forcefield. As he stepped through, the wind stopped. It was like going through a smooth waterfall, only thing he could hear was his and the D.A’s breathing. He waved his arms, making an electric blue ball in the middle, as he slowly sandwhiched the ball with his hands, it grew smaller but brighter. He continued by making his hands move farther apart. The ball grew larger. Then, he pushed the ball at the incoming minion’s. After hitting the front row of the minions, it hit Natasha, who was the one stopping their powers from working. He heard the screeching of metal. “It must be Austin.” He thought while flinging the minions onto the hard asphalt road. As one approached the school, Richard punched him in the face. He actually beat his record. Traveled around the world and back in 0.55 seconds. The minion was knocked straight to the ground, his skull falling off. His skull was very different from the rest. It had black and dark purple stripes that formed a raven’s wing. The face that was underneath this masks was quite familiar…

Meanwhile…

Underneath the curtain of black, Raven waved his hands to and fro, as if conducting an orchestra of one hundred people. His ravens moved here and there, generating a black and white image of Tommy, who was slowing picking off his minions.

“Gosh!!” He said as he kicked the table, knocking it over. “I have to get someone strong enough to get him!!” He kicked the table again, making the black and white image to go fuzzy. He waved his arms again, making the black curtain dissolve into tangled wings. As he stepped out, a flock of ravens slowly approached the school. This meant war.
